Job Title: Buyer

Department: Purchasing

Reports to: Purchasing Manager

Classification: Exempt

Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department leadership to identify and develop needs and requirements for equipment, materials, products, and acceptable solutions
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with supplies and manufacturers
• Prepare and process purchase
• Ensures purchase order accuracy
• Resolve issues with vendors, contractors, and suppliers
• Preforms other duties assigned

• Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Understanding of business and management principals
• Understanding of material and supplies used in the company
• Proficient with Microsoft office and SAGE software.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field Preferred
• Two years’ experience in purchasing or related field Preferred

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Technibus offers standing desk options to combat prolonged sitting
• Must be able to lift 15 lbs.
• Must be able to access all areas of the facility.
