Job Title:   Straddle Carrier/Forklift Operator-Spotter   --  1st, 2nd and 3rd Shifts

Department: Freeman Enclosure Systems

Classification: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Pay:  Up to $19.00/Hour

Position Summary

• Operate industrial straddle truck to lift, transport and position material following established methods and procedures, assist in departmental operations as directed
• Maintain staging and storage areas in a neat and orderly condition and store materials according to alloy and size keeping alloys and sizes together.
• Work from instructions to lift, transport, and position a variety of material into and out of inventory for departments requesting; pickup, transport, and position a variety of materials from department to department
• Maintain all required material identification procedures
• Exercise care in handling and stacking to avoid injuries to others, damage to equipment or materials.
• Detect faulty operations of equipment, Maintain the work area, tools and equipment in the proper manner. Make operator maintenance checks on equipment daily and maintain all logs related to these checks. Follow standard quality, quantity requirements and safety regulations. Follow prescribed safety regulations.

Essential Job Functions

Must be able to move heavy and awkward loads with Straddle Carrier up to 165,000lb

Walk, Stand for extended periods of time

Read Tape Measure

Safely Rig loads for transport

Must be flexible to work where needed and self-motivated at a fast paced.

Attention to detail

Other Requirements

Rigging Experience

Manufacturing background or exposure.

Must have superior organizational skills.

Must pass a forklift test.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

Heavy Industrial Machinery Moving - GENERAL WAREHOUSE FORKLIFT NOT APPLICABLE.

Two years' minimum experience with Heavy Equipment or 100,000lb forklifts and awkward loads.

Salary based on experience. 

SIGN ON BONUS

There will be a sign on bonus offered in the amount of $1,500.00.

After 30 days of employment a $750.00 pay out will be given.

The remainder $750.00 will be paid out after employee reaches their 90 days.
