Job Title:  EHRT Brake Operators (Day Shift)

Department: Sheetmetal

Reports to: Sheet Metal Lead/ Production Supervisor

Classification: Non Exempt/Hourly

Hiring Bonus:  $1,500.00 Hiring Bonus To Be Paid Out After 90 Days of Employment

Duties & Responsibilities

• Understand complex prints and set up sheets and can program parts/machine per drawings
• Knows all operations and safety procedures of the EHRT Brake Machine
• Ability to set up press and parts, this includes proper selection and placement of dies and back gauge settings
• Prepares parts for Epoxy, time saver, countersink mounting holes, etc.
• Must be able to set up multiple dies in press bed for sequence bending in one complex set up
• Place miscellaneous sizes of copper bus bars are punch hole patterns per drawings
• Must be able to determine the best bending method to help produce a quality product and can change tools accordingly
• Measure parts with tape and calipers and make necessary adjustments to the set up to ensure parts are within dimensional tolerance required
• Ability to run EHRT Punch machine when needed
• Safely operate tow motor and overhead crane
• Assist in unloading and receiving bus bar materials
• Assist in packing products to ensure outside jobs are shipped correctly
• Accurately count and inventory copper at month’s end
• Track all scrap materials by weight
• Corroborate with department Lead and other departments and machine operators when needed
• Recognizes and informs department Lead, Production Supervisor, and/or Quality Control of any problems of NCMR issues

 Required Skills & Abilities

• Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, assembly prints, packing lists, shop orders, and other written correspondence
• Close attention to detail
• Ability to recognize quality expected and able to reproduce it
• Must have good knowledge fractions and decimals
• Understand and follow directions
• Able to use tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Operates machine in a productive manner

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years’ experience in a production environment Preferred
• Personal Protection Equipment Training (PPE), Global Harmonization System Training (GHS), Lock Out- Tag Out Training, (LOTO)
  • Onsite training available
• Tow Motor and Overhead Crane Certification
  • Onsite training available

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing
• Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a production environment
